Another Great event for our seniors what amazing feeling to be around them and for them to enjoy themselves to the max. They received there training on fire prevention, information on how to stay alert on domestic abuse and then they had lunch and dance the afternoon away. Our foundation along with the Hialeah Firefighters Benevolent Association & Hialeah Park host and informative event to teach our senior about fire safety and how to be aware and alert against abuse by third parties that come to help them or take care of them. We offer them entertainment, lunch and we spent time sharing with them the beauty of their age.

 This year we had the privilege to help a family with a 2 year old toddler that was going through Leukemia raise the much needed funds for his medical care. A very well coordinated n spectacular team effort from the Fire Departments & Police Department from our neighboring cities for a cook-off to see who can cook better and raise more money

This year we had a lot of support from local schools they had a toy drive to collect toys for our foundations toy give away at Hialeah Park.

AND TO FINISH IT ALL UP WITH OUR CITY OF HIALEAH COUNCIL PRESIDENT LUIS GONZALEZ,  OUR FRIEND JORGE GONZALEZ, & COUNCILWOMAN VIVIAN CASALS-MUNOZ WITH A GRAND DONATION OF $3,500.00 IN TOYS

AND THE WRAPPING BEGINS TO GET READY FOR THE TOY DRIVE ON DECEMBER 19TH, ONCE AGAIN CAN’T THANK ALL THE VOLUNTEERS THAT CAME OUT TO HELP US WRAP OVER 300 TOYS FOR THE LESS FORTUNATE CHILDREN IN OUR COMMUNITY. 

This year thanks to our sponsors we were able to send 143 brand new bikes to the Dominican Republic for 3 rural areas, were they’re is no running water no transportation kids have to walk for over 30 minutes to get to school. I would like to thank my Husband Rolando Prieto & my brother Eddy Gonzalez for always supporting me and helping me in everything i do. These 2 man loaded bikes, drove a box truck in the Dominican Republic to the neighborhoods were we needed to deliver the bikes which wasn’t easy, unloaded and ensemble bikes for the less fortunate children of these areas. What an amazing feeling seeing the face of these children when they received their bikes and they’re cry out screaming and asking if there was one for them. Each of the children received a bikes we have being planing this since June of this year and each of the bikes had the children names on it.

Arrived at the Dominican Republic to the Church were all the bikes were stored for us. We automatically started sorting them by sections to were they will be deliver to. My husband and even my granddaughter was departing by their name she found a stroller she use to play with for her dolls that she wanted to donated to someone that need it. I thank God for the life of Pastor Freddy Cabrera for always helping us and being the main contact for us with the government and the custom control for all the container we ship.

FRIDAY NIGHT WE GOT ON OUR WAY TO EL COQUITO, It took us one hour and 45 minutes to drive there and half of the way was a dirt road with holes all over the place we arrive at 7:30 pm to see the children waiting their bikes. These children walk to school for 30 minutes everyday and in this neighborhood their is no light or running water. The were so excited to know that they were getting a bike we distributed 42 BIKES WERE HERE.

Evan & Brianna Giving these moms a stroller as soon as they saw them they asked if they could give these two mom this gift. These two children learned a valuable message this christmas to be thankful for what they have because they’re is a lot of other children that don’t have anything.

NEXT STOP SATURDAY MORNING LOAD THE TRUCK AND MAKE OUR WAY TO PALAVE HERE WE GAVE OUT 77 bikes to the children. Here you can see at our arrival the children were outside waiting for us to get there. Eddy assembling a bike, my granddaughter sitting on the floor helping one of the youth assemble a bike, the team from AATI getting their hands on experience, my husband and my nephew Evan trying to get another one together, even Pastor Freddy making sure the bikes are getting assemble right.

This young man was waiting patiently for my brother to finish the bikes and he ran and got on it like saying this one is mine

ON SUNDAY WE DELIVERY THE BIKES FOR THE CHILDREN IN THE CAPITAL. When we got their the youth of the church had assemble them on Saturday. Sunday morning when the kids got their they were able to ready to ride them out on the street to the park around the corner for a christmas luncheon for them. I want to thank AATI here in Hialeah for they’re love and support to travel with us to the DR helping us assemble, deliver and make sure the children wish came true. In some of these picture you would see my granddaughter Brianna and my Nephew  Evan caring a baby they fell in love with.

#1 SCHOOL OF THE DAY WAS EARLINGTON HEIGHTS ELEMENTARY THESE CHILDREN WERE SHOCKED THAT THEY HAD BEEN CHOSEN TO RECEIVE A THANKSGIVING MEAL THEIR FACES SAY IT ALL. THE ADMINISTRATION AND STAFF IS SO ECITED AND THANKFUL THEY DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO FOR OUR ORGANIZATION

2ND SCHOOL OF THE DAY WAS NATHAN B. YOUNG ELEMENTARY CHILDREN WERE HAPPY AND EXCITED FOR THE GIFT OF THE THANKSGIVING MEAL THIS LITTLE BOY EVEN WANTED TO CARRY HIS OWN TURKEY HOME

3RD SCHOOL OF THE DAY MYRTLE GROVE K-8 CENTER WITH PRINCIPLE APRYLE KYRNES FOR SOME OF THESE CHILDREN’S

IT WILL BE THEIR FIRST THANKSGIVING THEY ARRIVED FROM CUBA NOT TOO LONG AGO.

NEXT STOP WAS THE HOUSE OF THE BADGER FAMILY FROM AMELIA ELEMENTARY SHOOL THESE CHILDREN

ARE LIVING WITH THEIR AUNT AS HER FOSTER PARENT. WE DECIDED TO TAKE IT TO THEIR HOME SINCE THE CHILDREN IN IN SPECIAL ED CLASSES AND GO HOME ON BUS

4TH SCHOOL OF THE DAYV PALM SPRINGS NORTH ELEMENTARY ANOTHER SCHOOL THAT HAS RECEIVED NEW KIDS FROM CUBA AND THEY WILL CELEBRATE THANKSGIVING FOR THE FIRST TIME.

OUR LAST STOP WAS A JOHN G. DUPUIS ELEMENTARY WERE THIS LADY IS A VOLUNTEER AND NEEDS A LITTLE HELP WITH THEIR THANKSGIVING MEAL

AND WE ARE DONE WITH THANKSGIVING.

2nd SCHOOL OF THE DAY  Twin Lakes Elem this school Brings lots of memories since my three children graduated from this elementary school and 5 more families were blessed with a thanksgiving meal I want to thank Jose the custodian for helping us bringing everything down and the principal Ivette Bernal-Pino and the AP for their help selecting the children to receive these wonderful meal

4th SCHOOL OF THE DAY Palm Lakes Elementary were my friend Nina Hernandez the CIS always makes sure we get the kids that need it most and takes care of us had a wonderful media noche for me and Roly Prieto super delicious thank God we started the days without breakfast it really hit the spot. Their principal Alina Iglesias for being such a beautiful person inside and out and to their wonderful PTA Barbie Gonzalez (my sister in law LOL) and the other Barbara for their energy and love for all the kids thanks you

5 turkey basket for the children chosen by J.H. Bright/ J.W. Johnson elementary school along with my friend Terry Iglesia Miyares who was chosen to be the Principal for the day which brings back memory of when her husband Officer Emilio Miyares use to go to school here. But on this day her son Emilio J Miyares and her sister Irma San…dra Rodriguez joined her bringing 35 turkeys and bags full of goodies that were donated by friends and families to help the children that needed Both Terry, her son Emilio and her daughter Javier Jessica Cardoso keep officer Miyares memory alive by donating items to help the children through the foundation they lead officer Emilio Miyares foundation. may God always bless them and helping reach many more  Families.

Also At this school yesterday our foundation brought a bike to raffle for one of the 40 children that were bless by these meals, a very special Young man won the bike and both him, his grandma and many others including myself were filled With happy tears of how excited he was for this gift. They’re is nothing more satisfying that seeing a child smile of happiness and appreciation when they receive just a little of what they need so much of.
